Useful Information

A very warm welcome to all those returning to the Festival and for those joining us for the first time this year. We are proud to be celebrating our 75th anniversary year in 2026. There are more exciting changes and developments for this year's festival, so please read the syllabus carefully and keep checking back for updates! Please see below for further useful information.

The festival this year promises to be bigger and better than ever! All key dates can be found by clicking here.

The programme will be available here from early February, detailing which sections will be held on which days and at what times.

The rules and policies can be found within the syllabus, but for convenience, they are also available here.

Festival Concert

The 75th Anniversary Festival Concert is planned for Saturday 21st March 2026 at 7pm. Winners may be invited to take part and the festival trophies and special prizes will be awarded at this concert. Therefore, winners must be prepared to attend. The concert will take place at RGS Worcester.

Details of the entry fees for each section can be found in the syllabus. The festival is a charity and operates on a not-for-profit basis. We need to pay for venue hire and adjudicator fees and we rely on unpaid volunteers to make the festival happen. Therefore we usually have to make a charge for entries.

However, this year, all large and small group entries are FREE and all solos, duets, trios and quartet entries have 25% off the entry fees if completed by 1st December 2025.

We do not believe any enthusiastic performer should miss out on WCAF because of financial concerns or additional needs. We want to make taking part as easy as possible and to ensure we include everyone who wants to take part. Please contact admin@wcaf.org.uk in confidence to discuss any accessibility requirements or to discover more about free places.
