Emer McParland is a hugely experienced and highly regarded UK based solo vocal performer, session singer and vocal educator. She began her movie soundtrack career singing on films such as Sleepy Hollow and Gangs of New York. More recently, Emer sang on Disney’s live-action version of Cinderella and she is the solo Big Band vocalist on Marvel’s Avengers:Endgame. She has been involved in live concert performances of films such as Independence Day, Harry Potter And The Philosopher’s Stone, and Alice In Wonderland with composer, Danny Elfman. She is also a regular vocalist for Danny Elfman in his concert performances of Nightmare Before Christmas at Wembley Arena and for concert performances of the music from Game Of Thrones with composer, Ramin Djawadi.

As a backing vocalist, Emer has worked with a wide range of artists including Björk, Kylie Minogue, Tom Fletcher (McFly), Mika, Jarvis Cocker, Andrea Bocelli and Dame Shirley Bassey. She has appeared as guest soloist with several orchestras including The Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra, The Hallé (Manchester), Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, The BBC Concert Orchestra and The RTÉ Concert Orchestra (Ireland), and has been the guest female soloist with the BBC Big Band for many years.

Alongside her live performances Emer has taught at several London-based Contemporary Commercial Music schools including The Institute of Contemporary Music Performance (ICMP - Head of Vocals) and Vocal Tech (now BIMM) where she has written and delivered courses up to degree level on topics such as Sight Singing, Voice Production, and Stage and Studio Craft. Emer has also created one of the finest online Sight Singing courses in the world, Sing By Sight, which is used by students around the world to improve their sight singing skills and it is also embedded into the course material at top London institutes.
